For the past couple of season, Don has been the highly-successful coach of the Rochester Americans of the AHL, but he is getting ghis first shop at an NHL job with the Bruins. Named Coach of the Year in the AHL the last two years, and he aims to make the Bruins a rough team again, as they were a couple of years back. Although he played 16 seasons of professional hockey. Don never played a regular-season NHL game. He did appear in one playoff game for Boston in 1956-57. Don’s brother, Dick played two season in the NHL with Boston and Philadelphia.

Depuis deux ans, Don avait beaucoup de succes comme instructeur des Rochester Americans de la Ligue Ameriaine. Il fut nomme Instructeur de l’Annee dans la L.H.H. les deux dernieres annees. Don a l’intention de revitaliser les Bruins. Bien qu’il passa 16 saisons dans les mineures, Don ne participa qu’a une seule joute dans la L.N.H. (durant les eliminatoires pour Boston en 1957). Son frere Dick a joue deux saisons dans la Ligue Nationale pour Boston et Philadelphie.
